Bazovs‘kyy Oleksandr Mykolayovych was the grenade detector of the 30th individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 20 April, 1978 in the village Rudnia, Ovruch district, Zhytomyr region. He graduated the secondary school, in 1996 - Ovruch special vocational school №35 (now - Ovruch professional lyceum, city Ovruch, Zhytomyr region), specializing in "tractor driver".
In 1996-1997 he was in the regular military service in the border troops of Ukraine (since July 2003 - State Border Guard Service of Ukraine). He served as a rifle, grenade launcher.
In March 2014, he was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a grenade launcher of the 30th individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, the city Novograd-Volynsk, Zhytomyr region).
Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 31 August, 2014, soldier Bazovs‘kyy was seriously wounded during a combat task near the city of Lutugin, Luhansk region. He was treated at the military hospitals of Kharkiv and Irpen, Kyiv region, where on 12 September, 2014, he was sent for 30 days on vacation. After a 30-day vacation, he continued his treatment at the Ovruch Central District Hospital (Ovruch, Zhytomyr region). On 10 November, 2014, Olexandr Bazovs‘kyy died at the intensive care unit of the hospital and the heart of the soldier stopped.
On 11 November, 2014 he was buried in the cemetery of the village Rudnia, Ovruch district, Zhytomyr region.

In the city Ovruch, in Zhytomyr region, on the building of the Ovruch Professional Lyceum (Taras Shevchenko Street, 11), where Olexandr Bazovs‘kyy studied, the memorial plaque was established.
