Bilyk Ihor Zinoviyovych was the gunner of the 3rd Panzer Company‘s tank battalion of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 30 March, 1977, in the village Tartakiv, Sokal district, Lviv region. He graduated the secondary school of Tartak village and Sokal vocational school (now - State vocational and technical educational institution "Sokalsky Professional Lyceum").
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Since 1999 he lived in the village Perviatychi, Sokal district of Lviv region. He worked as an excavator in the Sokal municipal utility water supply and sewerage enterprise.
On 25 March , 2014, the volunteer was mobilized by the Sokal-Chervonohrad Unified District Military Commissariat of Lviv Oblast to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner of the tank of the 3rd Panzer Company of the tank battalion of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva of the Kyiv region).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 2 July , 2014, soldier Bilyk died during the reprisal of the armed attack of Russian-terrorist groups at the command-observation point of the first battalion near the village of Panchenkovo Sverdlovsk (now Dovzhansky) district of the Luhansk region.
On 6 July, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village Perviatychi, Sokal district of the Lviv region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (09/29/2014, posthumously).
