Bovsunovs‘kyy Serhiy Volodymyrovych was the squad of 30th separate mechanized brigade Armed Forces of Ukraine, Junior sergeant.
He was born on 28 October, 1983 in the village Bovsuny, Luhyn district, Zhytomyr region. He graduated the secondary school named after Hero of the Soviet Union P.P.Bovsunivskiy Bovsuny village (now - Bovsunovskiy educational complex "School - Kindergarten" named Hero of the Soviet Union P.P.Bovsunivskiy) and vocational school specialty "painter-clerk."
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He recently lived in the village Markivtsi, Bobrovitsk district, Chernihiv region. He worked in a specialty in Kyiv.
On 23 March, 2014 he was mobilized in the Armed forces of Ukraine. He served as thecommander of the 30th division Detached Mechanized Brigade Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, Novograd-Volyn, Zhytomyr region).
Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 2 July, 2014 Junior Sergeant Bovsunovskyy was killed in the firing position near department Shchastia Luhansk city council (October 2014 - Novoaydarsk area) Lugansk region.
He was buried in the cemetery of the village Bovsuni, Luhyn district, Zhytomyr region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III class (14.11.2014; posthumously).

In September 2014, in the village Bovsuny on the facade of the building educational complex (Central Street, 87a), where Bovsunovs‘kyy Serhiy studied, the memorial plaque was established.
