Budnikov Anatoliy Mykolayovych was the serviceman of the 30th separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergeant.
He was born on 15 December, 1960, in the village Velyka Mechetny, Kryvyi Ozersky district, Mykolaiv region. In 1977 he graduated the high school in the village Velyka Mechetnya, then - a naval school.
He passed the regular military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
After the army worked in the police, then - in the construction.
He lived in the Pechersk district of Kyiv.
In August 2014, he was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 30th separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409 (field post in V2731), Novograd-Volyn, Zhytomyr region).
Since autumn 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was the participant in fighting for the city Debaltsevo, Donetsk region.
On 18 February, 2015 Serhiy Budnikov died of the fragmentary wounds during the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the city Debaltsevo, Donetsk region.
On February 22, 2015, he was buried at the Berkovets City Cemetery (polling station # 86) in Kyiv.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (13.08.2015; posthumously).
The wife, the son, the daughter and the grandchildren are left.
On 11 September, 2015, in the village Velyka Mechetnya, a memorial plaque was established on the building of a secondary school (Golimbievsky Street, 70), where Anatoliy Budnikov studied.
