Butusov Yuri Yuriyovych was the commander of a special purpose company Special purpose special unit of the 3rd separate regiment of the Main Directorate of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine captain.
He was born on March 13, 1989 in Chernihiv. In 2003 he graduated the 8 classes of secondary school number 27 in Chernihiv, in 2006 - with honors Chernihiv Lyceum intensive military and physical training.
Since 2006, he was in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2010 he graduated with honors and reconnaissance airborne troops of the Hetman Sahaidachny Army Academy (Lviv) in "Fighting the use and management activities of military intelligence units and special."
Since 2010, he served in the 3rd separate regiment of the Main Directorate of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (military unit A0680, Kirovograd).
In the spring of 2014 he took part in anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
The group under the command of Captain Butusov participated in the assault, captured the strategic heights and defense - Kurgan Saur-Tomb, which was located in the mining district, Donetsk region. The band also played an important role in the fighting near the town of Snow Donetsk region. On August 23, 2014 a group under the command of Captain Butusov promptly detected and reported to command the invasion regular part of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. On August 24, 2014 Butusov team captain left out last of the village Kuteinikov Amvrosiivskyi district, Donetsk region.
On February 16, 2015 the providing column, which was commanded by Captain Butusov, when leaving the city about 11:00 Debaltseve, got ambushed near the village Novohryhorivka, Artemovsk district, Donetsk region (now - Bahmutskiy region Donetsk region). As a result of the battle militants summed first armored vehicle commander, who was captain Butusov. Nevertheless, he continued to command and helped escape lined with two armored comrades, but the seriously wounded, incompatible with life.
On March 28, 2015 he was buried in the town cemetery cities Bakhmach Chernihiv region.
On October 13, 2015 in downtown Bahmach on Heroes‘ Square Maidan it was inaugurated a memorial plate in honor of Captain George Butusova.
On December 8, 2015 in Chernihiv Chernihiv on the facade of the building of the Lyceum intensive military and physical training (Musketeers Str., 1), where Yuri Butusov studied, the memorial plague was established.
He was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree (04/06/2015, posthumous) award "People‘s Hero of Ukraine" (04.06.2015, posthumously).
