Tsymbal Serhiy Volodymyrovych was the serviceman of the 1st Infantry platoon 1st Infantry company of the 25th battalion of territorial defense "Kiev Rus" Armed Forces of Ukraine, soldier.
He was born on 26 February, 1986 in a settlement of the urban type Stavyshche, Kiev region. In 2002, he graduated the Stavysche Educational Complex "Secondary School of I-III Degrees - Legal Lyceum" No. 2 named after O.S. Palansky
While studying at the school, he was actively engaged in Jiu-Jitsu martial arts at the Kolos Sports Club, and repeatedly participated in the competitions. So in 2000, he took first place in the Open Championship Pereyaslavshchyny Jiu-Jitsu and 2nd place in the championship of Ukraine Jiu-Jitsu in 2001 - 1st place in the championship of Ukraine Jiu-Jitsu in the 1st round (14-15 years) in the weight category up to 72 kg (Zaporizhzhia city) and 3rd place in competition jiu-jitsu International tournament "Glory Pereyaslavshchyny" (city Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Kyiv region).
Since 2002 he has been studying at the Tax Militia Faculty of the National Academy of State Tax Service of Ukraine (Irpin city, Kyiv region). While studying at the Academy Serhiy was a member of Team Academy kickboxing and jiu-jitsu, taking part in competitions since 2003 took first place in the 1st national tournament 1st round Jiu-Jitsu in the weight category 94 kg (town White Church, Kyiv region), in 2005 - 1st place in the open championship and the championship of Kyiv kickboxing in the low-kick in the weight category of 86 kg, 3rd place in the open championship and the championship of Kyiv kickboxing In the light-touch section in the weight category above 89 kg, the 3rd place in the Ukrainian Championship and hand fight in the weight category over 85 kg and 3rd place in the Open Cup competition of the State Guard of Ukraine close fight in the weight category over 85 kg.
In 2004, he participated in the parade on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine in Kyiv, for which he was awarded the "Thanks to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine".
In 2006 he graduated from the Tax Militia Faculty of the National Academy of State Tax Service of Ukraine (Irpin city, Kyiv region), specializing in Lawyer, specialization "Operational and Investigative Activity". From 2006 to 2007 he worked as an operative fiscal police officer of the Bila Tserkva Unified State Tax Inspectorate of the State Tax Service of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.
In 2007, he graduated the correspondence department of the Faculty of Law of the National Academy of State Tax Service of Ukraine in the specialty "Lawyer", specialization "Financial Law". At the end of the academy, he went to France, where he served in the French Foreign Legion of the French Armed Forces for half a year.
Since 2008 he had the internship as a lawyer assistant in the private law office of Kyiv.
In the period from 2010 to 2011, he worked in the operative department for combating the illicit trafficking of goods by the tax police of the State Tax Inspectorate in the Obukhov district of the State Tax Service of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.
In 2012, he graduated the correspondence department of the Forensic Procurator‘s Department of the National University "Law Academy of Ukraine named after Yaroslav Mudriy" (Kharkiv city).
Since September, 2012 he worked as the investigator of the prosecutor‘s office of Krasnodonsky district of Luhansk region, a year later, in 2013 he was transferred to the post of prosecutor of the Dnipro Environmental Prosecutor‘s Office (Cherkasy city). In the winter of 2014, in connection with the events of the Revolution of Dignity, Serhiy was dismissed from work, and, with his family, returned to his native village Stavyshche,Kiev region. With the onset of mobilization, he repeatedly appealed to the military commissariat, with a request to be mobilized, but each time he was denied.
On 21 July 21, 2014 once again he turned to voluntarily Stavysche district military commissariat, from which he was sent to the 169th Training Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (urban village Desna Kozelets district, Chernihiv region) for training and military service mobilization in 25- Battalion of territorial defense "Kievan Rus" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military part of field post V0676).
From 24 August, 2014, he participated in an anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Callsign "Legionary".
From 16 September to 26 September, 2014, he was on the vacation. During the holidays, Serhiy bought the MITSUBISHI Pajero car for his own money, and rebuilt it to serve in the anti-terrorist zone.
On 7 October, 2014, during a combat mission, a four-member reconnaissance group consisting of Tsymbal, it was ambushed in the city Debaltsevo, Donetsk region. In an unequal battle with the militants of the Russian-terrorist group, until the last covering the departure of their fellow sibling, Serhiy Tsymbal died as a result of two gunshot wounds.
On 10 October, 2014, he was buried in the Central Cemetery of the town-type settlement Stavyshche, Kyiv region.
On 20 November, 2014, according to the decision of the 51st session of the Stavishche village council, Tsymbal Serhiy Volodymyrovych was awarded the title "Honorable Citizen of the Settlement" (posthumously).
On 3 December, 2014, in the settlement, on the facade of the building of the educational complex "Secondary School of the I-III Degrees - Legal Lyceum" No. 2 named after O.S. Palansky (Serhiy Tsymbal street, 53), where Serhiy Tsymbal studied, the memorial plaque was established.
On 19 March, 2015, according to the decision of the 56th session of the Stavyshche settlement council in the settlement of Kyiv region the Soviet street was renamed to Serhiy Tsymbal Street .
On 24 April, 2015 in the city Kiev on the territory of the National University of Defense named Ivan Chernyakhovsky (28 Prospect, Povitroflotsky), opened a ceiling for the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was awarded the title "Hero of Ukraine", among them the name of Serhiy Tsymbal is. On 19 May, 2015, in the city Irpin near the building of the main building of the National University of State Tax Service of Ukraine, a memorial was established, which is dedilacted to the dead graduates of the educational institution that defended the integrity and integrity of Ukraine, including the name of Serhiy Tsymbal.
He was awarded the Medal of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate "For Sacrifice and Love to Ukraine" (09/01/2015; posthumously).
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 636/2015 dated November 13, 2015, for the exclusive personal courage, heroism and self-sacrifice, revealed in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath of a soldier Sergei Tsymbal was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Golden Star.
He was awarded the Order of "People Hero of Ukraine" (02.10. 2016, posthumously).
On 6 May, 2016 a memorial plaque was established on the facade of the General Prosecutor`s Office building of the General Prosecutor`s Office of Ukraine (Ryznitskaya Street 13/15), a former prosecutor`s office, which is dedicated to Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Tsymbal. On 4 June, 2016, in the city Irpin, Kyiv region, on the facade of the building of the central part of the University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine ( Universytetska Street, 31), where the Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Tsymbal studied, the memorial plaque was established.
