Halushchenko Andriy Viktorovych was the head of the consolidated mobile group of thecombating illegal goods across the dividing line in the area of counter-terrorist operations, the senior freelance worker operating unit of the Security Service of Ukraine.
He was born on 2 February, 1975 in the village of Kozhanka, Fastiv district, Kyiv region. In 1990 he graduated the high school № 8 of village Kozhanka in 1992 - with honors from the Kiev Suvorov Military School (now - Kyiv Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun).
In 1992-1994 he was a student of the Kiev Higher Military Aviation Engineering College. Since 1994, he studied at the Faculty of Cybernetics of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, then in graduate Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 1994-2010 he worked as a teacher of computer science at Kyiv Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun, the lead engineer in information-legal center in the company of "ViDi Group". Since 2010 he was engaged in business, was one of the founders of the Limited Liability Company "Production and Construction Company" Hephaestus "(urban village Kozhanka Fastiv Kyiv region), is engaged in metal processing. In December 2013, during the Revolution of dignity, leaving the business.
He participated in national and international extreme marathons, has repeatedly won prizes.
In winter 2013-2014 years he was in Independence Square in Kiev, where he actively participated in the Revolution of dignity. He was the deputy captain of the 3rd hundred Self-Defense Maidan. After the injured captain Andriy Haluschenko took the lead hundreds.
Since April 2014 he became one of the first organizers of the 1st Reserve Battalion operational purpose of the National Guard of Ukraine (now - Battalion operational purpose reserve named after Hero of Ukraine General Sergey Kulchytsky National Guardi Ukraine), in April 2014 took part in anti-terrorist operations in eastern Ukraine. He held the position of platoon commander reconnaissance battalion. He fought in the Mount Karachun near Slavyansk Donetsk region. Then he fought in the battalion of patrol special police "Kyiv-2" Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Kiev (from autumn 2015 - 2nd mouth regiment of special purpose "Kyiv" Special Police National Police of Ukraine) Battalion patrol special police "Golden gate" Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Kiev (from autumn 2015 - 3rd regiment, special purpose mouth "Kyiv" special police National police of Ukraine). He participated in the battles for the city Debaltsevo Donetsk region. During rotation trained young fighters.
Since 2015 he was engaged in volunteer activities and air-scouts. With his assistance in early 2015 in city Debaltsevo Donetsk region about 700 people were evacuated and he also took part in the evacuation of children from the orphanage city Artemovsk (now - Bakhmut) Donetsk region.
When the decision was made to attract volunteers to combat smuggling in the area of counter-terrorist operations and create consolidated mobile groups of combating illegal goods across the dividing line, in July 2015 Halushchenko Andriy became the chief of freelance operational subdivision of the Security Service of Ukraine and led one of the groups who worked near the town Schchastya, Luhansk region, the area near the Seversky Donets river. Callsign "Andriy."
On 2 September, 2015 at 6:20 near the village Lobachev, Novoaydarsky district, Luhansk region there was attacked a consolidated mobile group of combating illegal goods across the dividing line. The car hit a Mitsubishi L200 laid towards mini, then attackers threw two grenades and fired machine with small arms. Group holding the defense until reinforcements arrived from the 92 th separate mechanized brigade. During the collision killed the chief freelance worker operating unit Security Service of Ukraine A.V.Haluschenko and tax police Lt. D.P.Zharuk, a soldier of the Security Service of Ukraine and five men of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were injured.
On 4 September , 2015 he was buried in the village cemetery of Kozhanka, Fastiv district, Kyiv region.
He was awarded the Order "For courage" III degree (15.9.2015, posthumously), honors "National Hero of Ukraine" (10.13.2015, posthumously).
The mother, the brother, the wife and the daughter were left.
In December 2015 on the place of hero death there was opened the memorial cross. In October 2015, the National Academy of Security Service of Ukraine there was opened a memorial to the fallen of special services, including the name Andrew Haluschenko. His name was used the 1st year students of the research institute of information security unit of the National Academy of Security Service of Ukraine. February 4.
