Golovko Valery Grigorievich is a grenade launcher of the 40th separate artillery brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
Born May 19, 1972 in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). He graduated from high school in Dnipropetrovsk.
In April 2015, he was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a grenade launcher of the 40th Artillery Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit B3500, the city of Pervomaysk, Mykolaiv region).
Since the summer of 2015, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On August 26, 2015, soldier Golovko died of a deathly death as a result of a firing from the missile system of the volley fire "Grad" near the village of Prokhorivka in the Volnovak district of the Donetsk region when a projectile struck his dugout. Along with him 4 more soldiers died.
On 2 September, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery "Jubilee" of the city Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro).
He was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the 3rd class (16.01.2016; posthumously).
