Kaplins‘kyy Oleksandr Valeriyovych was the senior officer of combat and special training of the 40th Regiment of the Western Operational and Territorial Association National Guard of Ukraine, Lieutenant colonel (posthumously).
He was born on 4 April , 1979 in the city of Vinnytsia. In 1996 he finished the secondary school-lyceum №7 city of Vinnytsia.
From 1996 to 1998 he passed the military service in the National Guard of Ukraine.
Since 1998, he served in the National Guard of Ukraine. In 2002 he graduated from the Faculty of special troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Academy of Border Troops of Ukraine Bohdan Khmelnytsky (now - National Academy of State Border Service of Ukraine Bohdan Khmelnytsky) city Khmelnitsky. After graduation, he served as commander of the training platoon and company commander training Training Center Internal Troops of Ukraine (March 2014 - Ukraine National Guard, a military unit 3007 Zolochiv, Lviv region).
From March 2007 he was the deputy company commander of separate regiment of special purpose "Jaguar" Internal Troops of Ukraine (March 2014 - Ukraine National Guard, a military unit 3028 Kalinovka, Vinnytsia region). Since 2010 he was the commander of the training company Training Center Internal Troops of Ukraine (March 2014 - Ukraine National Guard, a military unit 3007 Town Zolochiv Lviv region).
In 2011 he entered the Masters National Academy of Internal Troops of Ukraine (Kyiv). After graduation, he was appointed as the senior officer of combat and special training of the 40th regiment of Internal Troops of Ukraine (March 2014 - Ukraine National Guard, a military unit 3008, the city Vinnytsia).
Since the summer of 2014 he took part in anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 16 November , 2014 around 10 am checkpoint №25, which was located at the crossroads between the cities Zolote and Hirske, Popasnaja district, Luhansk region, was shelled by Russian-terrorist groups with grenades. In the result of shelling major Kaplinskyy received numerous shrapnel wounds, from which he died in hospital in Lysychansk, Luhansk region.
On 19 November, 2014 he was buried in the Alley of Glory of Central Cemetery of Vinnytsia.
He was awarded the Order "For courage" of III class (26.2.2015, posthumously).
On 19 March, 2015 in Vinnytsia on the facade of the building of secondary school-lyceum №7 (Vladislav Gorodetsky street ,21), where Kaplins‘kyy Oleksandr studied, the memorial plaque was established.
