Kas‘yanov Serhiy Oleksiyovych was the intelligence officer of the 74th separate intelligence battalion of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 8 October, 1995 in the city Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2010, he graduated 9 classes of a secondary school, in 2013 - Nikopol Professional Lyceum, specializing in painting, plastering. Clerk-tiler ".
He was in the Armed Forces of Ukraine from October 2013. He served under a contract in the 93rd separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302, urban settlement Cherkaske, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region), then - the intelligence officer of the 74th separate intelligence battalion of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1035, urban settlement Cherkaske, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region).
From August 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was the participant of the fights for Donetsk airport.
On 15 January, 2015, soldier Kas‘yanov died from a serious injury to the battle in the morning during a massive attack by Russian armed forces at the Donetsk International Airport.
On 18 January, 2015 he was buried in the city cemetery in Nikopol.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (04.06.2015; posthumously).
The parents, a twin sister and three brothers are left.
In Nikopol, in June 2015, on the facade of the building of the secondary school №17 (Dovgalivska street, 244) and in April 2016, on the facade of the building of Nikopol‘s professional lyceum (Prospect Trubnikov, 16), where studied Serhiy Kas‘yanov, the memorial plaque was established.
