Kindrats‘kyy Vasyl‘ Mykhaylovych was the fighter of the volunteer battalion "OUN" (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists).He was born on 10 March, 1963 in the village Strupkiv, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 1978, he graduated the 8th form of the secondary school in the village Strupkiv, in 1980 - the secondary school of the settlement of the urban type Otyn (now Otynya), Kolomyia district; in 1981 - Korshiv vocational school №32 of the village Korshiv, Kolomyia district, specializing in tractor driver-machinist. He worked as the tractor driver.
In 1981-1983 he was in the regular military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR. He served in the airborne troops.
In 1989 he graduated the Faculty of Journalism of Ivan Franko Lviv State University (now Ivan Franko Lviv National University). In 1989-1993 he worked in the field of journalism in the Mykolayiv district, Lviv region: a correspondent for the newspaper "Razdolsky budivelnik" (1989-1990), editor of the newspaper "Visnyk Rozdilya" (1990-1993). In 1993-1995 - Deputy Director of the private enterprise "Dovira", in 1995-2005 - director of small private enterprise "Kopiya".
In 2005-2010 he was the head of Mykolayev district state administration of Lviv region. In 2008 he graduated Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, a Master of Public Administration. Since 2010 he was the private businessman.
Since 2001 he has been engaged in the public activities. Since 2001 he has been a member of the Ukrainian People‘s Party. Since 2008 - head of the Mykolayiv regional branch of the Ukrainian People‘s Party. In 2004-2005 - the head of the district electoral headquarters of the presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko. In November-December 2004 he was an active participant in the Orange Revolution. In 2006-2010 he was a member of the Mykolayiv Regional Council from the Ukrainian People‘s Party. He was the deputy chairman of the Lviv regional organization of the People‘s Rukh of Ukraine. Since February 2015 he was a member of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists.
In the winter of 2013-2014 he was on the Independence Square in Kyiv, where he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity.
In November 2014, the volunteer entered the ranks of the volunteer battalion "OUN" (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) (in May 2015, the volunteer battalion "OUN" entered as a separate company into the 5th Battalion Tactical Intelligence Group of the 81st Individual Airmobile Brigade of the High-Volunteer Airborne Forces The Armed Forces of Ukraine, the military part of the field post in V1611, the city Konstantinivka, Donetsk region).
In the autumn of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Positive "Kondrate". Fought in the village Piski, since May 2015 - in the village Vodyane, Yasinuvata district, Donetsk region.
On 25 May, 2015, he heroically installed the flag of the OUN at the highest point of the mine in the village Vodyane, from which Donetsk and the enemy‘s positions are visible, and which was constantly under the fire.
On 28 May, 2015 Kindrats‘kyy Vasyl‘ was seriously wounded as a result of a direct hit of a tank shell during the shelling by Russian militants at the mine "Shaft" near the village Vodyane, Yasinuvata district, Donetsk region. After injury, Kindrats‘kyy Vasyl‘ was in consciousness. Doctors tried to save the life of Kindrats‘kyy, but their efforts proved to be in vain. After 40 minutes Kindrats‘kyy Vasyl‘ died of injuries.
On May 30, 2015, he was buried in the Honorary burial grounds № 67 of the Lychakiv cemetery in the city of Lviv.
He was awarded the Order of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class (21 August, 2015, posthumously), the Order of the People‘s Hero of Ukraine (23.06.2015; posthumously).

On 20 February, 2016, in the city Mykolaiv, Lviv region, on the building of the Mykolaiv District State Administration (Volodymyr the Great Street, 6), where Kindrats‘kyy Vasyl‘ worked, the memorial plaque was established. On 10 March, 2016, in the village Strupkiv, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, a memorial plaque was established on the building of the secondary school (Shevchenko Street, 30), where Kindrats‘kyy Vasyl‘ studied. His name is the 2nd OUN airborne assault company of the 5th Battalion Tactical Intelligence Group of the 81st Individual Airmobile Brigade of the High-Military Allied Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was called after his name.
