Kobchenko Oleh Oleksandrovych was the serviceman of the 1st platoon of the 7th Company of the 3rd Battalion of the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 18 February, 1983 in the city Kiev. In 2001 he graduated the secondary school №236 of Kyiv.
In 2003-2004 he was in the regular military service in the Armed forces of Ukraine. He served in the 93nd separate line-knot regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1735, city Zhytomyr, in 2013 the regiment was disbanded).
He lived in the Holosiivskyi district, the city Kyiv. He worked in the field of IT technologies.
On 20 June, 2014, the Pechersk-Goloseyev united military commissariat Kyiv mobilized him from Kyiv to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 1st Platoon of the 7th Company of the 3rd Battalion of the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409 (field post of V2731), Novograd-Volyn city, Zhytomyr region).
Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 15 February, 2015, a soldier Kobchenko was wounded in a battle near the town Chernukhine, Popasnyansk district, Luhansk region. Together with the wounded soldiers of the 128th separate mountain-infantry brigade, he was taken to the hospital. On the way, the column fell under fire, because of which the the death of a soldier Kobchenko happened. Since then, he was considered to be missing. In March 2015 Oleh Kobchenko was identified among the dead in the occupied territory. The serviceman‘s body was taken by volunteers to the city Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro).
On 26 March, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village Stavyske, Kozeletsky district, Chernihiv region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (13.08.2015; posthumously).

On 21 October, 2015, in Kyiv, a memorial plaque was established on the building of the secondary school №236 (Academician Zabolotny Street, 144), where Oleh Kobchenko studied.
