Kolesnik Dan Viktorovich was the company commander of 140 th separate center of the Main Directorate of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine , Captain.
He was born on December 30, 1989 in the village of Kalina Kamenetz-Podolsk district, Khmelnitsky region. In 2003 he graduated the 8 classes of secondary school Kulchiyivtsi village of Kamenetz-Podolsk district, in 2006 - Kamenets Lyceum intensive military and physical training.
Since 2006, he was the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2010 he graduated with honors and a gold medal Department of Airborne Forces Intelligence and Hetman Sahaidachny Army Academy (Lviv) in "Fighting the use and management activities of military intelligence units and special."
Since 2010, he served in the 140-m individual center of the Main Directorate of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (military unit A0661, the city Khmelnitsky).
In the spring of 2014 he took part in anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On July 24, 2014 a group under the command of Captain Kolesnik was tasked to search for the enemy near the town of Pervomaisk Luhansk region in the afternoon. As a result of this operation team captain Kolesnik car was destroyed by enemy convoy, which consisted of two cars "Lada", two buses "PAZ" minibus "Gazelle" and jeep. Also, the enemy suffered losses in personnel, which accounted for at least 70-80 people. But unfortunately this battle killed four special assigned people , the life of which team captain Kolesnik and he personally fought to the last moment.
On October 26, 2014 Kolesnik captain was killed during a combat mission in deblocking 32nd checkpoint near the village of Sofiyivka Perevalsky district, Luhansk region.
On October 30, 2014 he was buried in the cemetery Bendyuzkiy of Chervonohrad, Lviv Oblast.
On March 4, 2015 in the village Kulchiyivtsi Kamenetz-Podolsk district on the facade of the building of secondary school (May Day str., 2), where Dan Kolesnik studied, there was established memorial plaque.
He was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree (8/21/2014), the Order "For courage" of III degree (11/27/2014, posthumous) award "People‘s Hero of Ukraine" (15.01.2016, posthumously).
Honorary Citizen of Kamenetz-Podolsk district (posthumously), honorary citizen of the town Chervonohrad (06/25/2015, posthumously).
The wife and two sons remain.
