Konchevych Taras Hryhorovych was the head of the medical point of the infantry battalion of the 2nd separate Galician brigade of the Western Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine, the captain of the medical service.
He was born on 28 October, 1979, in the urban-type settlement Shchyrets, Pustomyty District, Lviv region. In 1996, he graduated the secondary school №1 (now - the name of the Hero of Ukraine Bogdan Ilkiv) of the urban type Shchyrets, in 2001 - the Faculty of Dentistry of the Lviv State Medical University named after Danylo Halytskiy, in 2003 - internship of the Lviv State Medical University named after Danylo Halytskiy (now - Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytskiy).
From 2001 to 2009, he worked as a dentist in a general-practice family medicine outpatient clinic in the village of Obroshin, Pustomyty district, Lviv region. Since 2009 - the head doctor of the ambulance general practice of family medicine in the village Zvenygorod, Pustomytivsk district, Lviv region.
On 1 September, 2014, the volunteer was mobilized into the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. The military service was held in the infantry battalion of the 2nd separate Galician brigade of the Western Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3002, the city Lviv).
From 1 October to 20 November, 2014, and from 4 January, 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Callsign "Dentist". He provided the medical assistance to the wounded soldiers during the battles for Donetsk International Airport, for the city Debaltsevo, Donetsk region, and at the 29th and 31st blockbacks.
On 9 February, 2015, a team of doctors from the National Guard of Ukraine, consisting of a medical armored personnel carrier and a medical vehicle, left the city Artemivsk (now Bakhmut), Donetsk region in the direction of the city Debaltsevo, Donetsk region, towards the medical crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Anatoly Sulima, Mykhailo Balyuk and the assistant of the National Guard Ukraine Serhiy Katsabin), with whom the connection disappeared. At about 6:30 pm, near the village oLogvinov, Artemivsk (now - Bakhmutsky) district, Donetsk region, a medical car that was moving in front, exploded on the mini. After that, the medical team was hit by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of Russian-terrorist groups. In the course of the battle, despite the danger, Taras Konchevich, who was in the medical armored carrier, ran out to help the wounded brothers who were in the car. Rescuing the life of his mates, the captain of the medical service, Konchevych died. Vasiliy Zadorozhniy, Dmitro Lahunov and Maksym Ovcharuk were also killed in this battle.
On 25 February, 2015, he was buried in the Hall of Honorable Nr.76 of the Lychakiv Cemetery in the city Lviv.
In the urban settlement Shchyrets, Pustomyty district, on 13 February, 2016, on the facade of the building (Ostrovskaya street, 55) and on the facade of the building of the comprehensive school №1 named after the Hero of Ukraine Bogdan Ilkiv (Sahaidachniy street, 47), where Taras Konchevych lived and studied, the memorial boards were established.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (05/15/2015; posthumously).
