Koza Denys Yevgenovych was the commander of the 2nd platoon of the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Highly-formed Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant.
He was born on 22 November, 1993 in the village Chornobayivka, Belozerskiy District, Kherson Oblast. In 2008, he graduated 9 classes of sanatorium boarding school in the village Chernobayevka, in 2010 - Zaporizhzhya Regional Boarding School with advanced military-physical training "Defender".
Since 2010 he was in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2014, he graduated the Land Forces Academy named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachniy (Lviv city), specializing in "Managing the Actions of Artillery Divisions".
Since 2014 he has served in the 25th separate airborne brigade of the High-Military Allied Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1126, settlement of city type Hvardiyske, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region).
Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 17 August, 2014, Lieutenant Koza died as a result of a Russian-terrorist grouping of BM-21 rocket launchers "Grad" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces subdivision, which conducted search-and-shock operations in Zhdanivka district, Donetsk region.
On 22 August, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of Chernobayivka, Belozerskiy district.
On 4 February, 2015, in the village Chornobayivka, Belozerskiy District, on the facade of the building of the general school where Denis Koza studied, the memorial plaque was established.
He was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskiy III class (November 14, 2013, posthumously).
