Kozlov Mykhaylo Vitaliyovych was the senior gunner of the grenade launch detachment of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 26 November, 1985 in the city Mykolaiv. He graduated the secondary school №46 of the city of Nikolaev and the Bible College in Pershotravensk, Dnipropetrovsk region.
He lived in the city Zaporizhya, where he created a rehabilitation center in the Protestant church.
On 7 August, 2014, he was mobilized by the Leninsky District Military Commissariat of the City Mykolaiv to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He received the military training at the 169th Training Center of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, village settlement Desna, Kozeletsky district, Chernihiv region). He served as the senior gunner of the grenade launch detachment of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 24 September, 2014, at about 18:35, during the pursuit of a secret combat mission, soldier Kozlov was deadly injured as a result of an explosive device installed by unknown persons on a trail located about 2 kilometers north of the village Starognativka, Telmanovsk (from December 2014 - Volnovakha) district, Donetsk region.
He was buried in Mykolaiv.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (16.01.2016; posthumously).
On 28 March, 2016, in the city of Mykolaiv, in the museum of secondary school № 46 (9th Street, 10th), where Mikhail Kozlov studied, the memorial plaque was etsblished.
