Maksymenko Petro Ivanovych was the number of servicemen of the 1st airborne platoon of the 1 st airborne commandant company of the 1st airborne landing battalion of the 95th separate airmobile brigade of the Highly-formed Landing Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 13 July, 1989 in the village Nedilyshche, Emilchinsk district, Zhytomyr region. In 2004, he graduated 9 classes of the secondary school of the village Nedilyshche, in 2006 - a comprehensive school of the urban type Yablunets, Emilchinsk district, in 2010 - the Center for vocational education in the city Zhytomyr.
From 2 November, 2006 to 30 October, 2007, he had the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Gaisyn town, Vinnytsia region).
On 12 April, 2014 he was mobilized into the Armed forces of Ukraine. Military service was held in the 1 st airborne landing platoon of the 1-st airborne group of the 1st Airborne Battalion of the 95th separate aeromobile brigade of the High-Military Allied Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, city Zhytomyr).
In the spring of 2014, he participated in an anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 19 October, 2014, during the military task of ensuring the movement of the convoy of equipment at the 32nd checkpoint, a Ukrainian military column fell into the ambush of Russian-terrorist groups near the village Smila, Slavyanserbsk district, Luhansk region. During the battle, the armored personnel carrier BTR-80, in the middle of which was the soldier Maksymenko, was hit by the several attacks from the machine gun anti-tank grenade launcher CNG-9. As a result of one of the hits, the soldier Maksymenko died.
On 2 November, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village Nedilysche, Emilchinsk district.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (10/31/2014; posthumously).
