Marchenko Viktor Petrovych was the Deputy Platoon Commander - commander of the gun of the antitank battery of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Senior sergeant.
He was born on 19 August, 1969, in the village Myrotske, Kyiv-Svyatoshinsk district, Kyiv region. He graduated the secondary school in the village Myrotske.
In 2014 he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the deputy commander of the platoon - the commander of the gun of the antitank battery of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva of the Kyiv region).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 3 November, 2014, Senior Sergeant Marchenko died of the heart failure while performing a combat mission in the village of Bakhchowik in the Volnovak district of Donetsk region.
He was buried in the cemetery of the village Myrotske, Kyiv-Svyatoshinsk district, Kyiv region.
The wife and daughter are left.
In the village of Myrotske in the center of the village the memorial plaque was established.
