Mesecha Serhiy Oleksandrovych was the mechanic-driver of the infantry fighting vehicle (BMP) of the 53rd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 12 June, 1983 in the village Zhuky, Kobelyatsk district, Poltava region. In 2000 he graduated the secondary school of the town-type Bilyki, Kobelyatsk district, then - vocational school №43 of the city Kobelyaky, Poltava region (now - State vocational and technical educational institution "Professional agrarian lyceum" of the city of Kobelyaki) in the specialty "driver of motor vehicles". He worked as a locksmith at the Kobelyatsky Sugar Plant in the village of Bilyki town of Kobelyatsky district, an auto locksmith at a technical service station in Poltava.
On June 16, 2015, Kobelyatsk district military commissariat of the Poltava region mobilized him into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He studied at the 169th Training Center of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, village settlement of the Desna, Kozeletsk district, Chernihiv region). He served as a mechanic-driver of the infantry fighting vehicle (BMP) of the 53rd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit В0927, the city of Severodonetsk / Lisichansk, Luhansk region).
Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 12 July, 2016, in the area of the village Zaytsevo, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region during the mortar shelling of the positions of the Ukrainian forces, the enemy mine got into a cemetery, where there was a soldier Mesecha and several more military personnel. As a result of the explosion, Serhiy Mesecha was seriously injured, from which he died on the spot.
On 15 July 15, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of Zhuka village, in the Kobelyatsk district, Poltava region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (25.11.2016; posthumously).
