Orlov Oleh Yuriyovych was the commander of the 2nd Howitzer self-propelled artillery platoon of the hoist self-propelled artillery division of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, junior sergeant.
He was born on 28 September 28, 1991 in the city Uman, Cherkasy region. He graduated Uman secondary school # 3 in 2008 and Uman Agricultural College.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After demobilization, he returned to the city Uman. He worked at the Public Joint-Stock Company "Umansk Plant" Megommetr ".
On 29 March, 2014, he was mobilized by the Uman Unified Military Commissariat of Cherkasy Region to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a gun commander of the 2nd Howight Self-propelled Artillery Platoon of the Howitzer Self-Artillery Division of the 72nd Detached Mechanized Brigade of the Army Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military part of A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On July 23, 2014, at 22.15, a junior sergeant Orlov died during the artillery shelling on the Russian border near the border village of Chervona Zare, Shakhtarsky district of the Donetsk region.
On 27 July, 2014 he was buried in the cemetery "Sofievska Sloboda" in Uman.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III class (14.11.2014; posthumously).
On 26 September 26, 2016, in the city of Uman in the secondary school №3 (street Herzen, 26), where Oleh Orlov studied, the memorial plaque was estblished.
