Parfenenko Vitaliy Vasyl‘ovych was a shooter of the 95th separate aeromobile brigade of the High-Volunteer Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 8 May, 1978 in the village Shapovalivka, Konotop district, Sumy region. He graduated Shapovalivka village school. He worked at school.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In 2014 he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a fighter of the 95th separate aeromobile brigade of the High-Military Allied Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, city of Zhytomyr).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 6 November, 2014, the soldier Parfenenko died of the acute heart failure during the seizure of personnel in the base camp near the city of Slavyansk, Donetsk region.
He was buried in the cemetery of Shapovalivka village, Konotop district, Sumy region.

On 21 January, 2015 according to the decision of the Konotop regional council Shapovaliv educational complex "Secondary school of І-ІІ degrees - pre-school educational institution" Konotop district council of Sumy region was named afterVitaliy Parfenenko. On 20 February, 2015, on the building of the school (the area of the Cossack Glory, 24), where Vitaliy Parfenenko studied, the memorial plaque was established. A school curriculum devoted to Vitaliy Parfenenko is organized at the educational institution.
