Petryk Serhiy Viktorovych was a mechanician in repairing the equipment of the 1st separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a senior soldier.
He was born on 16 April, 1987 in the village Chervonyi Kolodyaz (from 2016 - Chystyi Kolodyaz), Nizhyn district, Chernihiv Oblast. In 2002, he graduated the 9th grade of the general school of the village Peremogy, Nizhyn district, in 2003 - the Chernihiv Professional Construction Lyceum, specializing in carpentry.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He worked as a carpenter in Chernihiv Professional Construction Lyceum, in 2010-2011 - a carpenter at a secondary school in the village of Peremogy of Nizhyn region.
On 19 March, 2014 he was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a mechanician in repairing the equipment of the 1-st Guards Tank Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1815, urban-type settlement Goncharivske, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region). Having proved himself a good mechanician, he was left in a town-type settlement Goncharivske to repair machinery, which was then sent to a zone of the anti-terrorist operation.
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He conquered the military equipment from the area of the anti-terrorist operation for repairs to the city of Kharkov, repaired military equipment - back to the front. Also he took the fighters for rotation.
At the end of 2014, two and a half months he was located near the village of the Stanitsa, Luhansk district, Luhansk region, where their team was twice fired from the combat vehicle BM-21 "Grad". Then the senior soldier Petryk was thrown into the district of the city Yasinovata, Donetsk region.
On 22 February, 2015, the senior soldier Petryk, was killed by a bullet injury near the village Zlatoustivka, Volnavakha district, Donetsk region.
On 25 February, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village Peremohy, Nizhyn district, Chernihiv region.
The wife and two sons are left.
On 1 September 1, 2015, in the village Peremohy on the building of a secondary school (Molodezhnaya Street, 7), where the hero studied, the memorial plaque was established. On 13 October, 2015, in the city Chernihiv, the memorial plaque was established on the facade of the building of the Chernihiv Professional Building Lyceum (Peace Avenue, 247) in honor of the six graduates who died in the area of the antiterrorist operation, including the name of Serhiy Petryk.
