Piven‘ Ruslan Vitaliyovych was the sergeant instructor of a training platoon for the training of snipers of a higher level school for the training of snipers at the 199th Training Center of the High-Military Allied Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergeant.
He was born on 16 January, 1991 in the village Ostryyki, Bila Tserkva district, Kyiv region. He graduated the 9 classes of the general school of the village Ostryky, in 2009 - Technological and Economic College of the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, specializing in "Installation and maintenance of refrigeration and compressor machines and installations".
In 2010-2011, he was in the regular military service in the 1129th landing-rocket regiment of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1232, the city Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
In the spring of 2014 he was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 1129th anti-missile regiment of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1232, the city Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). She passed a specialized professional training course for the military specialty Sniper, after which the 9th Company of the 3rd Battalion of the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, Novograd-Volynsk, Zhytomyr region) he was transferred to the 9th Company.
In the spring of 2014, he participated in an anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Participant of battle for the barrow Savur-Mohyla and Stepanivka village, Shakhtarsk district, Donetsk region.
In the spring of 2015 he was released into the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From the summer of 2015, he was contracted the military service at the 199th Training Center of the High-Military Allied Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2900, city Zhytomyr).
Since the summer of 2016 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 28 September, 2016, Sergeant Piven` was killed by a sniper ball during a combat task with the fire support of the platoon-tactical group of the 199th training center in the industrial zone of the city Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
On 1 October, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village Ostryyki, Bila Tserkva district.
In October 2016, in the city Zhytomyr, on the territory of the military unit A2900, where the military service of Sergeant Piven was held, the memorial plaque was established.
He was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III class (27.10.2016; posthumously).
