Polyakov Vasyl‘ Viktorovych was the inspector of the Border Guard Service I category - the head of the special equipment division of the 10th mobile border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Senior sergeant.
He was born on 2 May, 1991 in the village Dmitrovka, Kiliysk district, Odessa region. In 2009, he graduated the secondary school in the village of Dmitrovka, Kiliysk district.
In 2009-2010 he was in the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He passed the military service under a contract at the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He served as a cadet of the Training Center for the training of junior specialists of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (now - the name of Major General Ihor Momot, military unit 9930, settlement Orshanets, Sosniv district, Cherkassy) and the inspector of the Border Guard Service I category - the head of the specialist department of the 10th mobile the border guard detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (the city Kyiv).
Since July 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 11 July, 2014, near the village Zelenopillya, Sverdlovsk (from 2016 - Dovzhansk) district, Luhansk region, at around 4:30 in the morning Russian-terrorist groups fired a base camp of Ukrainian military from the missile system BM-21 "Grad". As a result of the bombing, 30 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 7 servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, among them senior sergeant Polyakov was, died.
On July 14, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village Dmitrovka, Kiliysk district.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (07/15/2014; posthumously).
On 15 October, 2015, in the village Dmitrovka, Kiliysk district, on the facade of the building of a comprehensive school (Shkylnaya street , 91a), where Vasyl Polyakov studied, the memorial plaque was established.
