Presnyakov Maksym Serhiyovych was the commander of the intelligence company of the 93rd separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major (posthumously).
He was born on 22 May, 1986 in the village Moshny, Cherkasy district, Cherkasy region. In 2003 he graduated the school with a gold medal in the village Moshny.
Since 2003 he was in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2007 he graduated the Odessa Institute of Land Forces. He served as the commander of the 17th Detachment Platoon of the 17th Guards Tank Brigade of the Army Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3283, the city Kryviy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Region), then - the commander of the intelligence company of the 93nd separate mechanized brigade of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302, settlement urban type Cherkaske, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region).
Since July 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. The callsign "Artist".
On 18 January, 2015, a group of scouts led by Captain Presnyakov traveled on two infantry fighting vehicles (BMP) to help another group that was ambushed. On the way to the battlefield, in the vicinity of the village Piski, Yasinuvata district, Donetsk region, the intelligence officers got into ambush. The first BMP exploded on the high ground and was fired from a manual anti-tank grenade launcher. In the course of the battle, a mechanic driver of one of the BMP was wounded and stuck in the battered car. Captain Presnyakov rushed to save the colleague . During the firing, the officer died, covering his injured driver‘s body with his body.
On 21 January, 2015 he was buried in the cemetery of the village Moshny, Cherkasy region.
In May 2015, in the village Moshny, on the facade of the building of a comprehensive school (Savchenko Street, 39 ), where Presnyakov Maksym was studying, the memorial plaque was established. In the village Moshny, Ryabokonya Street has been called after Presnyakov Maksym Street.
He was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class (04.06.2015; posthumously), the Order of the "People‘s Hero of Ukraine" (04.08.2015; posthumously), with an honorary award "For Services to Cherkassy Region" (posthumously).
