Pruhid Valentin Mykolayovych was the commander of mechanized company of 51th Guards separate Perekopskaya Prague-Kharkiv-Volyn twice the Order of Lenin Order of the Red Banner Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Mechanized Brigade Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine captain.
He was born on April 4, 1989 in Zhovkva, Lviv region. He studied at the secondary school in the village Zabuzhzhya, Sokal district, Lviv region and in secondary school boarding resort Taras Shevchenko city Sokal, Lviv region. In 2006 he graduated the Oleg Romaniv high school, Romaniv and in 2011 - National University "Lviv Polytechnic".
In 2011 he graduated the military department of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", specialty - tactics.
Since December 2010, he had the military service in the 51st Separate Guards Perekopskaya Prague-Kharkiv-Volyn twice the Order of Lenin Order of the Red Banner Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2331, the city of Vladimir-Volyn Volyn region).
In the spring of 2014 he took part in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On August 7, 2014 Pruhid captain was killed during the assault Ukrainian military positions in the area of terrorists Kurgan Saur-Tomb, Shakhtarsky district, and Donetsk region.
On August 15, 2014 he was buried in the cemetery of the village Zabuzhzhya, Sokal district.
On October 13, 2014 in the town of Sokal in front of the building gymnasium named Oleh Romaniv (street Sheptytsky, 88), where studied Pruhid Valentin, a memorial plaque was established to him.
He was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree (14.3.2015, posthumously).
