Sheptyts‘kyy Petro Mykolayovych was the senior archer of the 30th separate guards mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 14 August, 1975, in the village Mohylivka, Zhmerinka district, Vinnytsia region. In 1992 he graduated the high school in the village Mohylivka. He studied at the Tulchin Veterinary Technical School (town Tulchin, Vinnytsia region). After completing the 3rd year of the technical school he was called to the army.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the medical-sanitary part of the military unit (Donetsk city).
After the army, he continued his studies at the Tulchin Veterinary College, which graduated with honors. He worked as a veterinarian in the village Rzhavka, Zhmerinka district, in the village Sloboda-Dashkivetska, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region. After the collapse of the collective farm, he worked as a mantra, then a brigadier for repairing the tram tracks in the tram-trolleybus depot of Vinnytsia.
On 21 August, 2014, the Zhmerinka united city-district military commissariat of Vinnytsia region mobilized him into the Armed forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior archer of the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409 (field post of V2731), the city Novograd-Volyn, Zhytomyr region).
Since autumn 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was the participant in fighting for the city Debaltsevo, Donetsk region.
On 18 February, 2015, the soldier Sheptyts‘kyy Petro died at the change of position during the artillery shelling of Kamyanka, Artemivsk (now Bakhmutskyy) district, Donetsk region near the town Debaltsevo, Donetsk region.
On 24 February, 2015 he was buried in the cemetery of the village Mogilivka Zhmerinka district, Vinnytsia region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (22.09.2015; posthumously).
The parents, the wife and two daughters are left.
On 14 August, 2015, in the village Mohylivka, a memorial plaque was opened on the building of the general school (Victory Square) where the hero studied. In the city of Vinnytsia on the territory of the tram and trolleybus depot near the memorial sign to the dead workers during the Second World War, the memorial plaque dedicated to Sheptyts‘kyy Petro was established. The street of the village Mohylivka was called after the name of the hero.
