Shevchenko Taras Yaroslavovych was a mechanic-driver of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, junior sergeant.
He was born on 24 April, 1981 in the city Ivano-Frankivsk. In 1996, he graduated the 9th forms of secondary school №17 of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, in 1999 - Higher vocational school №13 in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
In 1999-2000 he was in the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a mechanic-driver of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
He participated in the antiterrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 20 May, 2015, the junior sergeant Shevchenko died from an explosive device during a combat task near the village of Granitne, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region.
On 28 May, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery in the Demyaniv Laz tract in Ivano-Frankivsk.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the third class (22.08.2016, posthumously).
The mother, two brothers, the wife, the son and the daughter are left.
On 26 June, 2015 in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk on the facade of the building of the Higher Professional School №13 (Pasichna Street, 10a), where Taras Shevchenko studied, the memorial plaque was established.
