Shklyar Ihor was the shooter - assistant of the bomber of 41st battalion of territorial defense Chernihiv Oblast ‘Chernihiv-2 "soldier.
He was born on 13 September, 1986 in the village Corop, Chernigiv region. In 2004 he graduated the secondary school named after Shevchenko of village Corop.
He passed the military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the shooter - assistant of bomber.
After demobilization he returned to the village Corop. He worked at various jobs in Corop to mobilize - as a mechanic at a service station.
On 18 March, 2014 Korop district military commissariat mobilized him into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In March and May 2014 he served in Korop district military commissariat, May 16, 2014 - shooter - assistant of bomber 41st battalion of territorial defense Chernihiv Oblast ‘Chernihiv 2 "(military unit field mail V3137, November 2014 - 41- and separate mechanized infantry battalion of the 1st tank brigade of the 8th army corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). First he was in military unit urban village Kozelets district, Chernihiv region.
Since June 2014 he took part in anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He served in the mining district of Donetsk region.
On 17 August 17, 2014 soldier Shklyar during a mortar attack was seriously wounded at the checkpoint near the town of Debaltsevo, Donetsk region. More than a week a soldier was on treatment first in Kharkov military hospital and later in the Main Military Medical Clinical Centre in Kiev. But doctors‘ efforts were in vain and saved the life of Shklyar Ihor failed. On 25 August, 2014, not coming out of the coma, he died from his injuries.
On 27August 27, 2014 he was buried in St. Michael‘s Cemetery in the village Corop Chernigov region.
He was awarded the Order "For courage" III class (04/06/2015, posthumously).
The parents and sister were left.
In the village of Corop on the building of secondary school named after Taras Shevchenko (Street US 10), in which Shklyar Ihor studied , a memorial plaque was established for him. The school museum-equipped room corners are established devoting to the memory of Hero. On 26 March , 2015 Shchorsa street and lane in the village of Corop was renamed the street and lane by Shklyar Ihor.
