Silko Arthur Olegovych was the gunner of airborne assault platoon 6th airborne assault company of the 2nd Battalion Airborne assault 95th separate airborne brigade of highly mobile airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, soldier.
He was born on May 24, 1988 in the village of Vilshany Dergachi district, Kharkiv region.
He graduated the secondary school №158 city of Kharkiv.
In 2006, he was drafted for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 95th separate airborne brigade of highly mobile airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, the city of Zhytomyr), then continued his service in the 80th separate airborne regiment highly mobile airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2013 - 80th Airmobile Regiment ; military unit A0284 city Lviv). In 2007 he was dismissed from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve.
He worked in payroll Smooth Zhytomyr.
In March 2014 he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 2nd Battalion Airborne assault 95th separate airborne brigade of highly mobile airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1910; Zhytomyr city).
In the spring of 2014 he took part in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On October 7, 2014 near the village of urban Sands Yasinovatskiy Donetsk region during mortar attack terrorist positions Ukrainian soldiers, Arthur Silk was killed.
On October 9, 2014 he was buried in the military cemetery Smolyanskomu Zhytomyr.
On May 24, 2015 in the city of Zhytomyr, on the facade of the building (lane Sikorsky, 4), which Arthur Silk dwelled, a memorial plaque was established to him.
He was awarded the departmental award of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine medal "For exemplary service" (25/07/2014).
He was awarded the Order "For courage" of III degree (14.3.2015, posthumously).
