Vasylets‘ Oleksandr Kuz‘mych was the commander of the combat vehicle - commander of the 3rd mechanized platoon of the 4th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, junior sergeant.
He was born on 8 May, 1978 in the village Bogushi, Bereznovsky District, Rivne Oblast. He graduated 9 classes of the secondary school of the village Bogushi and Sosnivsk vocational school (now - State vocational and technical educational institution "Sosnivsky Professional Lyceum") of the urban type Sosnoy, Bereznovsky district, Rivne region.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He lived in Kolonshchyna village, Makariv district, Kyiv region.
In March 2014, Makariv District Military Commissariat of Kyiv Region mobilized him to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the commander of a combat vehicle - commander of the 3rd mechanized platoon of the 4th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 28 July, 2014, the junior sergeant Vasylets‘ was killed in a night bombing with terrorists during a mortar shelling in the area of the Chervonopartizan crossing point, Luhansk region.
On 5 August, 2014 he was buried in the cemetery of Bogushi village, Bereznovsky district, Rivne oblast.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III class (14.11.2014; posthumously).
Two daughters are left.
On 13 October, 2015, in the village Bogushi on the building of a secondary school (6 Lisova street), where Vasylets‘ Oleksandr studied, the memorial plaque was established.
