Vasylenko Ihor Mykolayovych was the serviceman of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 20 July, 1984 in the village Mostyshche, Makariv district, Kyiv region. He graduated a secondary school.
He served in the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
From 6 September, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 6 October, 2014, the soldier Vasilenko died, covering his fighting counterparts at a block post near the city of Volnovakha, Donetsk region, during an armed attack on the part of the enemy.
On 10 October, 2014 he was buried in the cemetery of the Mostyshche village, Makariv district, Kyiv region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (01.03.2016; posthumously).
