Verbets‘kyy Roman Vasyl‘ovych was the commander of the armored personnel carrier of the 30th individual mechanized brigade of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, senior soldier.
He was born on 12 June, 1977, in the village Kuryachivka, Starobelsk district, Lugansk region. He graduated the secondary school of the village Kuryachivka.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In 2014, the volunteer was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the commander of the armored personnel carrier of the 30th individual mechanized brigade of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, the city of Novograd-Volyn, Zhytomyr region).
He participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was the participant of the fighting for the city Debaltsevo, Donetsk region.
On 31 January, 2015, the senior soldier Verbets‘kyy died near the village Chernukhine, Popasnyansk district, Luhansk region.
On 13 February, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village Kuryachivka, the Starobilsk district, Luhansk region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (16.01.2016; posthumously).
The mother and two brothers are left.
In February 2016, in the village Kuryachivka, on the building of a comprehensive school ( Zhovtneva Street, 91), where Verbets‘kyy Roman studied, the memorial plaque was established.
