Yakubenko Oleksandr Valeriyovych was the serviceman of duties of a mortar platoon of a mortar battery of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion of the 72nd Special Guard Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 13 March, 1975 in the city Skvyra, Kyiv region. In 1990, he graduated the 8th form of secondary school №2 in the city Skvira.
On 20 March, 2014, he was mobilized by the Skvyra District Military Commissariat of Kyiv Oblast to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a mortgage unit numbering a mortar battery of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion of the 72nd Special Guard Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 10 July, 2014, soldier Yakubenko died during the reprisal of the terrorist attack on the airport of Donetsk (1 kilometer north of the village Vesele, Yasinuvatsky district, Donetsk region).
He was buried at the Central Cemetery in the town Skvyra, Kyiv region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (09/29/2014, posthumously).
The grandmother and the son are left.
On 21 September, 2015, in Skvyra, the memorial plaque was established on the building of secondary school №2 (Chestnova lane, 2), where Yakubenko Oleksandr was studied.
