Yakushchenko Valeriy Mykolayovych was a senior officer of the company of the 17th separate tank brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, senior sergeant.
He was born on 5 July 5, 1978, in the village Novomykolayivka, Skadovsk district, Kherson region. He graduated the secondary school of the village Novomikolaevka. He worked at a collective farm in the village Novomikolaevka.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He lived in the village Novomikolaevka. He worked in an individual economy.
In March 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed forces of Ukraine. He served as the senior officer of the company of the 17th separate tank brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3283, city of Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region).
From 2014 he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He had a service at the post office "Stalingrad" under the settlement of the urban type Stanitsa, Luhansk district, Lugansk region.
In July 2015, Senior sergeant Yakushchenko received a serious head injury in the village of Stanitsa, Luhansk, Luhansk region. On 9 July, 2015, a serviceman died while transporting to a hospital in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro).
He was buried at the cemetery of the village Novomikolaevka, Skadovsk district, Kherson region.
The wife and two daughters are left.
On 12 February, 2016, in the village Novomikolayivka, the memorial plaque was established on the building of the secondary school (Kirov street, 20), where Valeriy Yakuschenko studied.
