Yaroslavtsev Vasyl Valentynovych - sniper of the 93rd separate Guards mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, senior soldier.
He was born on October 10, 1980 in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). He graduated from secondary school №143 in Dnipropetrovsk and vocational school №18 in Dnipropetrovsk (now - Dnipropetrovsk Vocational Construction Lyceum).
In 1999-2000 he served in the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (now the National Guard of Ukraine). He served in the 1st special company of the 1st special battalion of military unit 4114 (Lviv).
He worked as a collector of the State Security Service at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (now - the Security Police of the National Police of Ukraine), then - in the Open Joint-Stock Company "Confectionery Factory" April "(Dnepropetrovsk).
In the spring of 2014 he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a sniper of the 93rd separate Guards mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302, Cherkasy urban-type settlement, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region).
From spring to summer 2014, he took part in an anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On July 10, 2014, a combined unit of the 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade, Right Sector, Donbass and Dnipro-1 Volunteer Battalions, consisting of a senior Yaroslavtsev soldier, advanced to the village of Karlivka, Maryinskyi District, Donetsk Oblast. A clash took place between Ukrainian soldiers and separatists at a checkpoint near the town of Kurakhove in the Mariinskyi district of Donetsk region. During the battle, a senior soldier Yaroslavtsev was killed by a sniper‘s bullet, trying to save his wounded brother.
He was buried in the Krasnopilsk cemetery in Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro).
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree (08.08.2014; posthumously).
