Yurchenko Oleksandr Olehovych was the commander of the 7th Mechanized Platoon of the 9th Mechanized Company of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion of the 72nd Detached Mechanized Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Senior Lieutenant.
He was born on 10 August,1971 in the city of Zaporizhya. He graduated the high school.
He lived in the village Abramivka, Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region.
On 17 March, 2014, he was mobilized by the Vyshgorod District Military Commissariat of the Kyiv Region to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the commander of the platoon of a mechanized company of the 72nd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region).
In the spring of 2014, he participated in an anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.
On 19 July, 2014, senior lieutenant Yurchenko was killed a battalion‘s column in the city of Amvrosiivka, Donetsk region during the strike on a combat vehicle (BM-21) "Grad".
He was buried on the KushugumCemetery (plot No. 19) in the city Zaporizhya. Motherland considers senior lieutenant O. Yurchenko to be missing.
He was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class (09/29/2014; posthumously).
The wife and two children are left.
