Zhuk Yuriy Serhiyovych was a machine gunner of the 53rd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a soldier.
He was born on 2 March, 1981 in the village Lozuvatka, Pyatihatsky district, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated the comprehensive school of the village Lozovatka, and the Alexandria State Agricultural College on the specialty "Veterinary Medicine" in the city Oleksandria, Kirovograd region. He worked as a veterinarian at a collective farm.
He passed the regular military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 11th Army Airborne Army Special Forces of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1604, settlement of the city Chernobayevka, Belozersk district, Kherson region).
After serving in the army, he worked as a driver at a research station, a mechanic, a runaway.
The volunteer was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Three months of military training was held at the landfill near the city Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He served as a machine gunner of the 53rd individual mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit В0927, the city of Severodonetsk / Lisichansk, Luhansk region).
He participated in the antiterrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Callsign "Zvirobiy". His service was at the post office "Stalingrad" under the settlement of the urban type Stanitsa, Luhansk district, Lugansk region.
On 17 June, 2015, the soldier Zhuk was killed as a result of a stroke in the area of the platoon reference number 5311 near the town Verkhnyotoretska, Yasinuvata district, Donetsk region.
He was buried in the cemetery of the Lozuvatka village, Pyatihatsky district, Dnipropetrovsk region.
He was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd class (04/02/2016; posthumously).
